- Review Rook, Bishop, and Queen – play “Dragon and Chickens” game and “RBQ” game
- Review King’s moves and AIM of the game
- Check-mate in 1 move: Q, 2R, 1R, 2B
- Review Knights moves and their “jumping” privilege
- Review Pawn moves – from “home” position, from “in-play” position, capture and en passant, promotion – “a dream of every pawn”
- “Pawns” Game – demo and play-with-partner
- “PK” game – demo and play-with-partner
- Start Position – two armies on a battlefield. King and Queen and the rest…
- Chess Notation
- Castle. King side (short) and Queen side (long). When, Why and Exceptions
- Chess Math: “+”, “-“, positive advantage, zero, negative numbers
- Small center and big center

Each Class will be approximately 45 min of instructions and 15 min of play time. The pace of each class will be dictated by students’ understanding of the material. Homework, reviews and extra play time at home are highly preferable.
